Spencer

Spencer Wills has been Miguel’s best friend and brother since 2004. The two first met in 8th grade near the buses, as the school district combined routes for their neighborhoods. Spencer walked by, said hi to each person who was nearby, and concluded with “hey Miguel!” As he walked away, Miguel replied, “hey!” However, when he was no longer within earshot, Miguel turned to the person next to him and said “who the fuck was that guy?”
The two began playing music together in their garages once they learned that they played an instrument. The two bonded over their music tastes, video games, stand up comedians, and Wes Anderson movies. They started playing music together in high school and later college, after Spencer moved north to Tallahassee and Miguel doing the same a year after when he missed him too much.
In Tallahassee, the two lived and wrote music together inside a literally-sinking duplex on Belle Vue Way. There, they crafted their skill of playing/writing music, drinking an ungodly amount of beers, and being able to play music after said number of beers. It’s through playing shows as Echo Base that they first met Klcy in the DIY music scene.
Spencer now lives near Atlanta, Georgia with his spouse Roxanne and two cats, Calvin and Hobbes. He is the head brewmaster at Scepter Brewing Arts and has discovered a new found love for metal music. Spencer is Miguel’s Best Man.

Jermaine

Jermaine Laing is one of Miguel’s oldest friend, having met in 2003 in 7th grade. Jermaine was there on the first day that Miguel ever considered playing drums as the two were part of a friend group who wanted to start a band together. While it never panned out, the two made a bond together, sharing a love for music and movies and the arts.
In 2009, after graduating high school, they both applied to FAU (go owls hooty-hooo), but did not share the information to each other. To Miguel’s surprise, he saw Jermaine’s name on the list of his dorm mates. He called Jermaine, who was at a neighbor’s house, and the two embraced and cheered in the middle of the street knowing that they would get to live together on campus.
When Miguel moved up to Tallahassee in 2010, he spent the rest of the year convincing Jermaine to do the same. The two lived together from 2011 to 2013, both experiencing many late nights of playing beer pong, smoking an ungodly amount of weed (sorry Mom), and listening to Boards of Canada. The two look forward to the first release from Boards of Canada in 13 years and secretly hope that Title Fight does the same.

Sco

In the beginning of 2010, Miguel knew that he would be moving up to Tallahassee and starting another band with Spencer, so he began to search for bands on Bandcamp tagged with the emo/punk/etc. genre. He found Wavelets and instantly gravitated towards their sound (as one does). By Summer 2011, while back home on vacation, he received a call from Spencer letting him know that a few houses down lived a couple of the members of Wavelets, had a seperate band in town called Send Away Stranger, and hosted shows in their living room under the name St. Anger House. From that day forward, his life would change forever and the amount of beer consumed skyrocketed to levels never seen before (sorry Mom). Soon, the two would develop a bond through music that has lasted for almost two decades. Scott, while being the craziest person he's ever met, is one of Miguel's closest friends. Scott Carr of Wavelets can also do a front flip over a fence.

Vila

Andrew Vila. Not much else to say.








Okay, a real bio: A shredder. A drinker. An accountant. A buffoon. Most of all, a beloved friend. Miguel remembers meeting Andy at a show hosted in his living room. He noticed two random people in the front as he was playing a song and recognized that this was the first time anyone was singing his lyrics back to him. Those randos ended up being Andy Vila and Andres "Shmea" Rodriguez. An instant friendship developed that night as the two became mainstays at parties and shows to come. Andy was a huge factor in the decision for Kelcey and Miguel to move to Philadelphia; on a trip to attend a wrestling show, the two would stay at his house in way-North Philadelphia and he'd explain how the city was slowly becoming Tallahassee 2. The amazing time they had with Andy and friends that weekend solidified the move from Boston to Philly in 2018. Since then, the couple spend a god-awful time with Vilae, occasionally partying at his house whenever friends from out of town would visit or to take care of his cats, Milkie and Benny, when he is out of town. Vila has been part of so many memorable moments in Miguel's life that he could never imagine a life without him. Listen to Rush and Drink Beers with Andrew Vila, guaranteed a good time for life.

Jessica

Jessica AKA JSchwizz AKA FSUFemale AKA @ScreamingFemale AKA Dolan! Technically Jessica and Klcy "met" on Tumblr back in 2011-2012, but became real-life friends through their membership in the FSU feminism club, The F-Word. Klcy moved into Jessica's house their junior year of college, and thus Cuddlepunx Riot House was born. This iteration of Cuddlepunx was mostly for house parties, as they lived in a neighborhood full of other house venues where they regularly attended shows. Jessica helped hone Klcy's political education and ideology and has been a consistent inspiration in their own work towards a truly better world - through attending Center for Participant Education (CPE) classes together, organizing and attending rallies and protests for various causes, and generally suffering through college-era bullshit together. Jessica currently lives in NYC while working towards a nursing career - thankfully not too far from Philly!

Rosie

Rosie and Klcy both majored in psychology at FSU, and had a few classes together. It wasn't until a fortuitous (and ridiculous - iykyk) event in the DIY Tally music scene that the two became better friends, when Klcy baked Rosie a sheet of chocolate chip cookies in hopes of making them feel better. The two bonded over shared love of punk music, scary stuff, and the fact that they both went to shows in the Tampa Bay area growing up (Klcy even saw Rosie and her sister's band sometimes!) but never actually talked or hung out. After Jessica graduated and moved back home, Rosie convinced Klcy to start hosting bands in their living room (aside from just parties). The first ever Cuddlepunx Riot House show (with Robocop 3) was booked between Rosie, Spencer, and Klcy in the saltwater pool across from the St. Anger House. Rosie also serves as a political and organizational inspiration, introducing Klcy to volunteering with Planned Parenthood, for whom she still works! In 2021, Rosie (and John!) moved to Philly, and the Talladelphia Crew has been going strong since.

John

Klcy met John technically before "meeting" Rosie, even though those two have been a DIY power couple AND married for a while. John was a regular around the organizing/activism sphere in Tallahassee, but their friendship really blossomed once Klcy began hanging out with Rosie and John together. Always quick with a witty quip or an On Cinema reference Klcy doesn't understand, John is often a source of laughter. The two bonded over their shared love of crust punk music (s/o Mad Conductor) and Klcy's love for John's cat daughter, Astrid. Klcy considered Astrid their neice and often spoiled them. Astrid was a punk house cat, so she loved loud noises and chaos, beer, and cigarette fingers. Astrid sadly passed away in 2026, but her punk cat spirit remains with all of us!

Nikki

Nikki and Klcy met through the DIY music scene in Tallahassee, much like how they met Miguel, but waaaaay before miguelcy. They both share a love of ska, punk, and most especially the album Death by Television by the band The Lillingtons (which they got to see together at Fest one year!). Nikki is also the reason that klcy AND migi got back into wrestling (they both loved it as kids, then fell off): after a show at Cuddlepunx one night, Nikki turned on the WWE Royal Rumble, and pretty soon everyone who stayed behind to clean up was instead watching wrestling on Nikki's laptop in the kitchen. They've all been avid wrestling fans and show-goers ever since. Nikki played in Night Witch with Rosie (and John), so hanging out with them was usually a package deal with the rest of the band. Klcy has also filled in for Nikki when doing cover sets as Night Witch, with some people even drunkenly complimenting Nikki on their bass playing for the My Chemical Romance cover set at Fest, though it was Klcy who was playing. Nikki now resides in Minneapolis, MN and plays in the super sick punk band Buio Omega.
